$5
All supplies are provided.
Please email Amy Bruder to sign up (below)
The instructor is Marc Casebolt, a volunteer at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, is an expert at making sailor’s knots.
Marc began tying knots as a child and it has been a passion of his ever since. Marc will explain why knot-tying was important on old sailing ships and how a sailor’s life depended on him knowing which knot to tie for each task.
This will be a small group, no more than 10 people, and we will be learning to make some basic sailors’ knots, working our way up to more difficult knots as the months go by.
